End of Our Kimono Photography Service Following the Closure of Our Partner Kimono Shop
Choosing a kimono was an important part of the photography experience—a special moment spent preparing to create a memorable image.
Until now, our studio has offered kimono photography services, including kimono rental and dressing, with the cooperation of our partner kimono shop. We are deeply grateful to the many customers who used this service, especially visitors from overseas.
Unfortunately, our partner kimono shop will be closing. As a result, we have decided to discontinue our “Strolling Around Yufuin in Kimono” service for the time being.
### Why the Kimono Photography Service Is Ending
Our “Strolling Around Yufuin in Kimono” service was made possible by our partnership with the kimono shop.
They supported us with everything from preparing the kimono and recommending suitable sizes and styles to coordinating accessories and assisting with dressing—many important details that may not be visible on the day of the photo session.
With the closure of the kimono shop, it has become difficult for us to continue providing kimono photography with the same level of quality and peace of mind. For this reason, we have decided to end the service.
### To Everyone Who Has Used Our Service
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has enjoyed our kimono photography service.
We remember the expressions on your faces as you chose your kimono, the slightly shy smiles when you first put it on, and the warm moments shared with family members. Every photo session, including the time before standing in front of the camera, has become a precious memory for us as well.
It has been a great pleasure to be part of these special moments.
### About Our Future Photography Services
Although our kimono photography service has ended, we will continue to offer regular commemorative photography and portrait photography as before.
We have also launched a photography service specifically for international visitors. Please visit its dedicated page for more information and to apply for a session.
If you arrange your own kimono and dressing service, please contact us first. After confirming the details of the photography session and the schedule for the day, we will let you know whether we can accommodate your request. We may not be able to accept every situation, but we encourage you to consult us.
Our priority is to ensure that every customer can enjoy their photography experience comfortably and with confidence.
### For Those Who Were Already Considering a Session
We sincerely apologize for this sudden announcement, especially to those who had been looking forward to having their photographs taken in kimono.
For those who had been thinking, “I would love to have kimono photos someday,” we understand that this news may be disappointing. Ending a service that we have offered for many years was not an easy decision for our studio either.
However, services involving costumes and dressing require a reliable preparation and support system. We believe it would be inappropriate to accept an important commemorative session without being able to provide that level of assurance.
If we are able to offer kimono photography again in another form in the future, we will make another announcement.

特別な一枚を残すために、着物を選ぶ時間も撮影の大切な一部でした。
これまで当スタジオでは、提携着物ショップのご協力により、着物のレンタルやお支度を含めた着物撮影をご案内してまいりました。特に外国人旅行者のお客様を中心に多くのお客様にご利用いただき、心より感謝申し上げます。
このたび、提携先の着物ショップが閉店されることとなりました。それに伴い、「湯布院着物で町歩き」サービスの提供を一旦終了させていただくことになりました。
着物撮影サービス終了の経緯
当スタジオの「湯布院着物で町歩き」サービスは、提携着物ショップの存在があって成り立っていました。
着物の準備、サイズや雰囲気に合わせたご提案、小物の組み合わせ、着付けに関するサポートなど、撮影当日だけでは見えにくい部分まで、提携先に大きく支えていただいておりました。
その着物ショップが閉店されることにより、これまでと同じ品質や安心感で着物撮影をご提供することが難しくなりました。
これまでご利用いただいたお客様へ
これまで着物撮影をご利用くださった皆様に、深く御礼申し上げます。
撮影の日には、着物を選ぶ表情、衣装をまとった瞬間の少し照れた笑顔、ご家族が見守るあたたかな時間がありました。カメラの前に立つまでの時間も含めて、どの撮影も大切な記憶として残っています。
そうした場面に関わらせていただけたことは、当スタジオにとっても大きな喜びでした。
今後の撮影について
着物撮影サービスは終了となりますが、通常の記念撮影やポートレート撮影はこれまで通り承っております。
特に、外国人旅行者様向けの撮影サービスがスタートしておりますので、そちらの専用ページをご確認いただき、撮影をお申込みください。
また、お客様ご自身で着物や着付けの手配をされる場合については、撮影内容や当日の流れを確認したうえで、対応可能かどうかご案内いたします。すべてのケースでお受けできるとは限りませんが、まずは一度ご相談ください。
無理のない形で、安心して撮影に臨んでいただけることを大切にしています。
すでに撮影を検討されていた方へ
着物での撮影を楽しみにしてくださっていた方には、急なお知らせとなり申し訳ございません。
「いつか着物で撮りたい」と考えてくださっていた方にとって、今回の終了は残念なお知らせだと思います。当スタジオとしても、長くご案内してきたサービスを終了することは簡単な判断ではありませんでした。
ただ、衣装や着付けに関わるサービスは、安心してご利用いただける準備体制があってこそ成り立つものです。大切な記念日を不確かな形でお引き受けすることは避けるべきだと考えました。
今後、別の形で着物撮影をご案内できる体制が整った場合には、改めてお知らせいたします。
